About us
From my earliest remembrance, I’ve had a rifle in my hands. From shooting prairie dogs, plinking pop cans, or hunting with my dad. Firearms have been a way of my life. About 15 years ago I started an outdoor ministry where I took Kids into the field Hunting.
It became apparent very quickly that we needed to teach the next generation how to shoot and do it ethically. So I started teaching kids how to shoot. About eight years ago I was hunting one day and had an opportunity to harvest a record Book Mule deer buck. The only problem was the closest I could get to this buck was 525 yards. I’d always grown up in a family where you got within 200 yards and took your shot, but in this case that was impossible.. So I ended up not even shooting, not wanting to wound a magnificent animal like that. But I told myself that would never happen again and it started me down a journey of learning and ultimately building long range platforms.
Since that time I’ve had the opportunity to not only build rifles, but trained the next generation on how to shoot these rifles. My goal is still always to get close, but there are those moments when you need to be able to reach out and touch. Old glory arms was born out of a desire to help others have properly set up rifles. This could be an AR-15 in 6 mm arc shooting coyotes, Or bolt action platform shooting 28 Nosler dropping big bull Elk, or a 6.5 Creedmoor shooting steel in a match. Whatever you need is we would love to partner with you and make your dreams become a reality.
